immersion

there's an old adage that says "you are what you eat", the same is true for your demeanor and the atmosphere in which you live your life. so many things happen to each of us on a daily basis that if we get caught up in the negativity of the "bad" things we'll never survive
there's nothing we can do about the situations that befall us we don't have control over those things. what we do have control over is how we react to them. a lot of people and most of the people i know like to dwell on those negative things, they like to tell everyone about how bad of the day they're having, about this shitty thing that happened to them, how pissed they are about blah blah blah blah
i say fuck it. why dwell on it or even think about it if it bothers you. answer that!!
you don't like, it fucked you up, you're pissed yet you won't let it go.
my new years resolution is no longer suffer these kind of things. new year is the best time to make changes in your life. leave behind old lives, loves and even friends
one of my female best friends was telling about her break up with her partner/husband of 10 years and all the shit that came out at the end of their relationship and how she was crying on the 31st. I told her it was better that all that came out today (31st) than tomorrow so she can start the new year off fresh.
the apostle paul or saint paul said and i paraphrase: "i don't think im the shit, but what do is i forget all that shit that's in the past and i look forward reaching for my goals"
i read this blog from Christian Pilgrim I guess it's a christian blog here on blogspot and i want to repost some excerpts
The world will tell you that the dominating influence in your life is your past. If you came from a difficult home life, that will determine the direction of your life. If your culture was treated unfairly, that will dictate the condition of your life today. If you were hurt or abused or if your youth was spent in rebellion, the remainder of your life will be spent struggling with your past. The world is preoccupied with the past because it faces an uncertain future.
most people tend to focus on the problem instead of the solution, if you dwell too much on the past you can never embrace the present and you most definitely cannot prepare for the future which is the most important

Like birds, let us,
leave behind what we don’t need to carry…
GRUDGES SADNESS PAIN FEAR and REGRETS.
Life is beautiful, Enjoy it.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010
